ITV dominated the Social TV chart this week - taking 6 of the top 10 slots.
Three big performers for ITV - Take Me Out dominates on Saturday night, with a great performance by the follow on show “The Gossip” racking up a fantastic 92,301 tweets during broadcast and making it the #2 show of the week. Take Me Out and The Gossip both beat their previous week’s traffic levels.
Dancing on Ice more showed an increase of 2.5 times the previous week’s tweets - it seems that One Direction had a big influence on the twitter volume - with 24% of tweets mentioning the pop group. Even without the pop group’s influence the show’s return to it’s traditional format got more chatter.
Surprise of the week was Top Gear - down on the previous week’s show, with just 23,865 tweets during broadcast, and dropping out of the top 10. Has the Top Gear phenomenon run out of track?
